Parametric Gaudi:
the one week workshop in Barcelona,
Spain took place at the Biodigital Architecture Master Program
directed by Alberto Estevez. The workshop developed a parametric
digital fabrication exercise to develop a column within the workshop
space of the university program studio. The exercise methodology
departed from exploring the relationship between structuring
information and the structuring of form in relation to the
structuring of space through mathematics. Mathematical structuring
of digital form was related to aesthetics and physical affection by
comprehending the moment in which formal autonomy emerges as an
independent signification.
